You can also simply disconnect the cables and leave the servo in place.

You can also simply disconnect the cables and leave the servo in place. Just making sure, so you can completely take the servo motor out from under the seat an unplug with needing a servo buddy? After the reflash

After the reflash The consensus seems to be; if you don't have a servo buddy already, you don't need one with a reflash, but if you already have one, you can leave it.

Agreed. The flash disables the EXUP when you get it flashed for decat. You can remove the whole system. I was only pointing out that one can remove the cat (and EXUP valve) but leave the servo in place as long as the cables are removed. Just in case people don't feel comfortable leaving it unplugged.

Got my ecu today. Installed and went for a short 10 minute ride due to bad weather, but I can definitely feel the smootheness an power increase. I am a happy customer.

I'm not sure why you have to disengage the O2 sensors. I haven't had to on any other bike I've had flashed. Why is it okay for the bike to adjust the stock map for things like temp and altitude but not OK for the bike to adjust a reflashed map for the same? The bike doesn't know it's a reflashed map it's just trying to adjust the fueling and air to stay within the parameters the of the map that is currently loaded on the bike. What am I missing?

Flash sets A/F. Sensors continue to send A/F to ECU based on stock parameters. Problems occur, per 2WDW (Nels)

Maybe 2wheeldynoworks can jump in and explain it. Nels told me by telephone, but I don't recall the whole story. I seem o remember that some people have success leaving them, but others get popping and backfiring. Im curious to know what the bike does in elevation changes without sensors.

all,
installed my ecu and took it for a short spin yesterday (still have stock exhaust with O2 sensors removed). noticeable difference. thought I could hear a slight difference in cadence at idle, but might be my imagination. initial impression is that the midrange is much improved - feels stronger everywhere. throttle seems smoother, too, however I'm still not a big fan of the sensitivity of the ride-by-wire throttle, especially on rough/bumpy surfaces. one weird item, though - I do not have a QS, but the QS indicator block is now illuminated full time on my dash. anyone else seen this?
Nels and the 2WDW crew are outstanding! Nels answered all my questions, and then some. the ECU was back to me (from across the country) in 3 or 4 days, even though it was over the weekend.
overall, if you're looking for more performance, this is a must have mod. next up for me is a Akra 3/4 system.
regards, Tony

Your bike is now quick shift ready. Install the quick shifter. It's a simple plug-n-play installation.

I think the flash is great. I recommend it to everyone, there is a notice in power and torque definitely. The revs climb up a lot quicker and smoother in all modes and the throttle response is perfect.

Does the 2WDW flash ease up the engine braking?

Thank you for the helpful information. I am planning on getting the ECU flashed as soon as I receive my Yoshimura Alpha T 3/4 exhaust. spoke to Derrick and he mentioned that they currently have a $300 special for the FZ-10 ECU Flash (regular price $350).

Does the 2WDW flash ease up the engine braking? It smooths out everything. Worth it for that reason alone.

Anyone take their bike to a local dyno after 2WD flash? Just did mine today, got 136 HP, 69 TQ (dynojet model 250i) I have Nels flash (from Feb 10th), 3/4 Remus exhaust (DB killer removed) & link pipe, AIS blocked-off, EXUP removed. What I'm kinda concerned about is how lean it's running, so was curious if others had independent dyno sheets so I could compare results. I'll also add the throttle response is slightly more snatchy than stock, not sure if the Feb 10th flash was before the "Stoltec throttle maps" were added or if that's an entirely different flash. For reference, similar modified bikes on the same dyno (different day): 2015 S1000R - 146 2013 Tuono V4R - 138 2015 R1 - 168
