What colors do you think Yamaha will release for the second year model of the fz10? What color would u like to see Yamaha release for the 2018 model? Myself I would like to see a red and silver with titanium grey wheels. Hoping to buy me one next year if they have a color I like. I didn't care for the colors they used on the 2017's.

The red/silver would look great. The anniversary yellow/black combo always looks good. White with red stripes is another. And the dark cherry red with gold wheels is one more. As long as they don't use pastels like Toyota offers on some of their cars or the blue used on Susuki's Gladius, most colors would be a nice change.

There are not that many painted parts on the bike. So you could easily have it painted any color combo you like. Also powder coat the wheels any color. The quality of the powder coat/paint would be better than factory, assuming you used a good painter. I'm planning on doing mine.

Just switch the current colors: Black with day glo wheels and grey with black wheels.

You know, when this bike was confirmed for release in the USA, I was bummed we didn't get the Blue bike. I have always loved my Blue R1's (06,07,09 and back to an 08) and had even made a potential dream build which included painting or obtaining blue euro parts. LOL (Attached Pics of R1's)
Now I have come to love my Black FZ10 and have become excited to move forward with this look. Stealthy and Sinister bike this one will be!!! Muahahahahahhahahaha!!!

I like your last shot with gold wheels and chain. Nice complement to the blue.
My Triumph Tiger 1050 was high gloss black with gold forks and silver wheels. I always thought gold wheels would have been the finishing touch.

Loved the Marchesini's on my 07 and 08 R1's.
I would love to stick a set of these in this Titanium Grey on my FZ10. I think it would compliment the other greyish colors on the bike. CoreMoto bought the company a while back. They retooled the whole product and fixed where the original manufacturer cut corners with crap parts. Now a high quality wheel that looks good too.

Electronic suspension adjustment is nice, but will likely cost $2k more. I ride alone and rarely carry more than a backpack, so I don't need to change suspension settings often. Even if I do, it doesn't take much once the settings for added weight are known.
I do wonder if they will de-restrict the ECU if the SP comes stateside.

I'm not going to get up in arms over the SP. At the end of the day, it just has extra electronics which mean nothing to me. If I did track days maybe, but for my street riding, the one I have is more than adequate.

Look into the R1M wheels as well. IIRC, they are magnesium and can be had had for less than the cost of the Carrozzeria forged Aluminum wheels. I think someone on here has already made the switch. upload image online

I have a blue FJR and love it, but I'd replace it with the FZ-10. I've ridden it briefly a couple of times and LOVE the 180 lbs lighter weight. I'm older and have short legs. SO much more flickable and less anxiety trying to u-turn and turn it around in the garage and gravel parking lots!
I've also ridden the S1000R, Super Duke 1290 R & GT, and the Tuono. For me, the FZ is a more comfortable, easier to ride everyday bike than those.
One major thing holding me back is the color. I really don't think that the gray or the black do it justice. I'd much prefer the red of the FZ-09, or the Blue of the MT-10 SP. The yellow and black would be cool too.
I've read that the electronic suspension is even stiffer, and I don't need the quickshifter, but I wouldn't mind the TFT display.
So, I'm holding out to see if Yamaha gives us better colors in 2018.
By the way, has anyone found a lower seat or bar risers for the FZ-10? Thanks!

I'm also older and have short legs but I don't have a problem tippy toeing on the 10. Only problem is the wife won't ride on the 10. If you can call that a problem😏.

Kup 0236, I've got 29" inseam...you? I had to put bar riders on my FJR, as even the slight forward lean hurts my low back and neck on 200-300 mile days. I have long-term back issues. Do you find the forward lean on the FZ to be more, same or less than the stock FJR position? I've only had a chance to ride an FZ-10 for a short few minutes (not long enough to feel it). Thanks!
