It's the factory Yamaha taller windscreen that I cut down, reshaped and painted satin black from the back side. Nice! I did the same on my 03 FJR many years ago. Masking tape... nice line..jig saw.... then lengthy sanding and rounding the edges. Peel off the tape. Looks like factory. I originally used the spray paint that you can use to darken taillights etc. After a few years, it started to show a subtle dry dessert appearance. Ended up spray painting jet black. I wish I could still see through it a little as the FJR has an electronically height adjustable windscreen, but no big deal. Nice to see others are handy enough to do stuff like this. Good job!

Thanks aavmann! Your FJR looks good too. I did the same thing to my 2016 FJR ES minus the painting part. One additional thing I do when I cut shields after sanding is use a propane torch (carefully so you dont overheat and warp it) to smooth out the sanding marks.

New OEM plugs and a BMC air filter at 12,100 miles. Filter was surprisingly dirty. Plugs weren’t much fun, the engineers who designed this thing have much smaller hands than I do. KTM 350 plug wrench works great for those changing plugs soon, and good luck pulling the coil packs off! Mileage is in the toilet now, might have kinked a vent hose - going to ride it today, see if it’s any better and if not, tank comes off again to check the hoses.

I put the oem seat on yesterday so I could get used to it for a track day on Saturday. I found it was in some ways more comfortable than the "comfort seat." I'll probably sell the comfort seat and wait for something a little more cushy to come out. I will probably buy the Sargent seat. I have the Sargent heated seat on my Motus MST. Good to hear Sargent finally came out with their seat for the FZ/MT-10. I'd definitely go with that over a Corbin, but both might be higher than I need. Fortunately, I'm okay with the comfort one. Wouldn't want it any taller than it is, as I can't flat foot (almost though). The comfort seat is the best compromise between ground reach and knee relief for me.

How is the material holding up on the comfort seat? Scuff marks or foam breakdown?

How is the material holding up on the comfort seat? Scuff marks or foam breakdown? I need something taller than the bullshit way I went about raising my seat height (instead lowering the pegs) by throwing a SBK seat pad on top of the stock seat.

Fresh Pirelli Angel GT II’s but more importantly I took a few 9mm shell casings from my last range trip and made valve stem covers out of them LOL. Lmk if anyone is interested in picking up some!

My 2019 MT10 is 3 weeks old. So far I've done a Puig touring windscreen, Yamaha heated grips, spools, and mirror extenders. Last week I ordered a Delkevic titanium exhaust with a midpipe, a servo buddy and plugs for the O2 sensor wires. I also sent the ECU to Vcyclenut to get flashed. Yesterday when I got home the exhaust had arrived so I ate dinner and headed out to the garage. My previous bike was a 2017 FJ09 and this one is substantailly easier to work on. Took about 2 hours to do the exhaust, plugs and reinstall the ECU and then get all the bodywork back on. It was bitter cold with howling winds last night so I rolled the bike out of the garage to run it and listen to it but couldn't ride it. This thing sounds gnarly. My GF actually was trying to imitate the sound because she thought it sounds so cool. It does. The only thing that sucks is that I dropped the silencer and put a small ding in it but I'll live with that. I also took off those reflectors, passenger pegs and the exup valve and valve motor. I'm guessing I lightened the bike by close to 20 pounds. The stock exhaust is a porker. I was at the performance shop today and was looking at various bikes with different high end exhausts and I'll say that I don't see any big difference in quality over these Delkevic exhausts ( this is the 2nd bike I've done one on). It looks a lot leaner now. I ordered a K-Tech rear shock and front springs last week and picked them up at the shop. Tomorrow night I'll do the shock and then put the bike in next week for them to do the springs and then do a final set up. In the mean time, the weather is supposed to get close to 60 degrees on Saturday so I'll get a chance to try it out. I think the rear shock is mediocre and no amount of adjustment to the stock setup is going to fix that. I can't wait to see how it feels as I get it sorted out.

I installed a new K-Tech rear shock a few days ago and today I dropped the bike off at my local shop to install new fork springs. I don't have any experience with forks as they're currently designed nor the specialized tools. I'm hoping that the stock forks will work with a spring for my weight and I can get away with not having to do cartridges.

Some Chinese case guards that actually feel just like the woodcrafts on my race bike and look sharp to boot!
