Is the stock throttle mapping, even in A mode, severely limited in first/second/third at low (<6000) rpms?
I mean, I understand powerbands, but it REALLY feels artificially hamstrung off the line. And it really has a mapping sort of feel to it, like 0-50% throttle increases power as you'd expect, but then 50-100% throttle does.. nothing. Until around 6k or maybe 5k but there seems to be a weak spot in the 5-6k range separate from this, so who knows.
Am I crazy? Am I just expecting more out of the CP4 than I should? Or will a flash change this?

Seems so to me. I have a 2023 as well, I had a 2020 and it had way more balls down low. I know the gearing has a little to do with it but it is definitely hindered beyond that. My ECU is going to 2wdw this week. Fucking nanny Euro 5/EPA bullshit. Love everything else though! Great bike.

Flash will improve it. 1000s are typically held back out of the factory due to emissions and noise regulations.

Yeah, experimenting on the commute this morning, it's definitely not powerband - it's more responsive at low rpm in high gear than it is in 1st and 2nd for sure.
My ECU is taking a trip to 2WDW as well, though I'll probably wait for the traditional Black Friday sale to do it.

It's my understanding that 1st, 2nd and maybe 3rd down low are kinda handcuffed by the stock ECU and mapping.
I think Moore Mafia did a video on the throttle settings on the stock ECU, IIRC the map doesn't ever get to 100% open, or it's for a total of like 1500RPM.
