All the fun and power of our bikes boil down to tire performance. This thread will be geared toward all things tires. Whether road or track, post up your questions, answers, knowledge, or experience with a brand or specific tire.

Tires!

I'm personally looking for an all weather tire with great performance, confidence inspiring, and great tread life. I looked at a few and I'm interested in these. Any input is appreciated. I would be getting the set.

The best reviews I've read for your criteria are Michelin PR4. Excellent in the rain, long tread life and great all around performance.
Probably the most meaningful feedback would be from high mile riders who can tell you how well their worn out tires worked.

Tires!

The only thing that I have against these and the PR4's is that they are touring tires. I spent some time looking up reviews and the S20 Evo's seem great. I struggled for months picking the right tire for my dual sport I used to have, the stakes are much higher with this bike. The saga continues.

They are dual compound sport touring tires. If you want traction you can't have high mileage. The P2/P4 is a good compromise for mileage and traction. I spend more time on the highway than in the twistys so it's a no brainer for me.

If I can get 6k miles out of a tire I'm in.

P4s have been known to last 10k or more. You should be able to find a tire to go 6k easy. I got 5 out my stock tire.

I had PP3's and they are fantastic tires especially in the cold. They have pretty good grip even when the tires haven't warmed up and they are excellent in the rain.
I think I am going to go with Bridgestone S21's next. I love the grip of the front tires on the stock S20's and I think S21 is just going to be an upgrade over the S20's.

Amazing in the wet and they grip even when cold - like in the 20's kind of cold. As far as dry grip is concerned, they'll give up some grip to a true sport tire. But they won't hold you back unless you're spending time on the track above a novice level. Now of course, everyone has a preference with feel. That is subjective and only you can be the judge. But that said, I run PR4's on the street and would have it no other way. Worth every penny. Never really gelled with the Pirelli Angel GT.

I had a set on PP3's on a previous bike that I liked, I'm trying to decide whether these PR4's are worth the huge price and slight loss of grip...

I'd expect another 1-2k. This is commuting/touring, so the life is flat spot driven...
