Everytime I cycle the key, my gauge goes through the presentation, and then displays F-Trip as opposed to odometer or any other screen I choose. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

I feel like mine has started off wherever I left it, will try to remember to look the next few times I start it and switch to something else when shutting off.

I would assume that F-trip is triggered by a low fuel condition which would be either the float sender being genuinely low, or an electrical fault making it seem that way. I'd start by checking that the electrical connections to the fuel pump/fuel level sender are tight and clean.

I'd start by checking that the electrical connections to the fuel pump/fuel level sender are tight and clean. That's exactly how it works. F trip only comes on once the fuel gets under the lowest bar when the bar starts flashing. It would be nice to have a "fuel range" option like cars these days have.

I finally figured it out. F-trip starts to count miles driven once fuel gets to a certain level (nothing new here) F-trip wouldn't go away because my drives are relatively short; once I drive over a couple of miles the bike "hid" the F-trip readout. When I cycle through the displays I see ODO, Trip 1, Trip 2, and Temp. Guess it takes a bit to gather its thoughts and return to normal.

It can also be reset manually to make it disappear after you refilled if you don’t want to wait for it to go on its own. Just hold the scrolling wheel like you would to rest your trip meter or mpg
