Might be a stupid question, but does the MT10 have backlit controls such as High/Low Beam, Cruise Control, Hazards, etc? Meaning those buttons are all backlit on the handlebars so you can see them at night correct?
I ask because I have a new 2023 MT10 and I just rode it last night for the first time in the dark and realized I can't see any of the controls. This weekend I had removed the stock rear fender, with the turn signals and license plate light; as I will be installing a tail tidy soon. I'm wondering if a couple wires touched each other and I blew a fuse or if the backlighting for the controls is somehow connected to that circuit and since I don't yet have the new turn signals, etc., hooked up, the backlighting isn't working???
Thanks, John

Hello John, welcome to the forum!!!
There is no such backlighting. What can be helpful is almost all the buttons are different shapes and have different tactile feel that even with gloves on, they should be easy to get used to where they are and what they feel like.
Might take some getting used to but it's better for you in the end. You should rely on feeling the switches anyway this way you don't have to take your eyes off the road, especially at night.

After a few weeks I stopped looking for the buttons altogether. You develop muscle memory for their lcoations

Thanks guys. I appreciate the replies. I had just removed the stock rear fender, turn signals, etc., in anticipation of installing a tail tidy and when I rode the MT10 for the first time at night, I couldn't see the controls and I thought I blew a fuse or something....lol. I just sold my "City Bike"; a Husky 401 and it had backlit controls and that bike cost $5K, so I thought for sure the $16K MT10 would have it also...haha.
Thanks again, John

Interesting. I didn't even know backlit controls was really a thing. I mean I guess I would believe it would be on something like a Goldwing but that's interesting to know smaller, not touring bikes may have them.
