Guys, It looks like I'll be able to get my 2019 MT-10 "de-catted", fit a link pipe, and do an ECU re-flash in the coming weeks. Because of the extra power gained I wanted to gear up the bike one tooth (43 to 42) on the rear by fitting the rear sprocket from the 2022 MT. Does anybody know whether this sprocket will be a straight fit onto my wheel? Thanks in advance.

No actual experience but searching on-line (sprocket center. com) for replacement chain kits shows the same sprocket for the Gen 1 and Gen 2 bikes.

After carefully checking out the parts schematic on Partzilla.com I noticed that the part number for what Yamaha calls the clutch hub (what the sprocket mounts to) is identical for for the 19 and 22 models. So I ordered the 22 rear sprocket and I'll have it Tuesday.

Rear sprocket installed, as expected it was a straight fit. Be curious to see how much the gearing has been raised.

I expect a little improvement in the mpg dept. as Yamaha do claim a small improvement with the 2022 model. Also using the 2022 rear sprocket increases the wheelbase by 5 mm, so I'll be interested to see if I notice anything in the handling dept. too. I'll report back later.

Overall I'm happy to have made the change. Once I get the ECU re-flash done the extra power will certainly take advantage of the gearing.

Man, that looks awesome! How loud is it? I have been debating for months about doing the decat. I like the look of yours a lot. The bike is louder than stock, but not overly so, and still delivers a throaty sound. I live in a quiet neighborhood so I keep the revs down until I’m on the main road. I think the de-cat is a good way to go. The weight savings are impressive and the power boost you get is great value for about a $600 investment.

Thanks man! I like the look of that pipe a lot more than the Leo Vince most people seem to do. Totally agree, the Leo Vince pipe aesthetically has a look only its mother would love. That was the main reason I chose the Scorpion.

Nice. Did you ride it around at all before you had it flashed? Just curious how it felt. I just have the Yosh MT-10 slip on on my bike right now. I think I'm going to have to order this link pipe, it would look nice with the slip on.

I think I'm going to have to order this link pipe, it would look nice with the slip on. I only rode it in its stock form, but geared up. If I recall correctly, the Scorpion link pipe works only with the stock can, or Scorpion can. You can verify that on their website.

Awesome, thanks man. I think it would work with my slip on, it's the Yamaha Yosh pipe that fits directly on the stock cat pipe without any mods. I know people have used the Leo Vince pipe with the same slip on, so I'm thinking it should fit. You mind if I ask where you ordered it?

As promised, I done a few rides and have a better sense of how the sprocket change has panned out. The handling of the bike to me is unchanged, the big thing to me has been the fuel consumption. I have de-catted my bike and had it dyno tuned by EDR Performance in Beaverton, Oregon. I performed a 330 mile ride yesterday on two lane roads averaging between 60-80 once out of town with the occasional no holds barred grip it and rip it for passing. I reached 142 miles before the fuel gauge started to flash. I rode the bike for a further 25 miles before refueling. The bike accepted 4.2 gallons for an average fuel consumption of 39.7 mpg. So, it's clear to me that gearing the bike up was a good thing.
