Hi, was after some advice regarding remapping. I’ve a 2022 SP and have just fitted an Austin racing exhaust including link pipe, ie a de cat. Although the manufacturer says no remapping required. My question is it ok or am I likely to damage engine Many thanks in advance Iain

I'd get it tuned if it were my bike.
Can you ride it as is? Sure. Should you push it? No
Bike is probably running lean which means it will run hot.

Agree! Always check your engine stats (lean or rich) after fitting aftermarket exhaust system or when you remove OEM Catalytic converters/exhaust. Running them without re-mapping or lean might damage your motor and or seals.
When you re-flash, you can remove lot of factory restrictions (in a safe manner) and adjust lot of parameters like cooling fan time (make it come on earlier, Yamaha likes to keep their engine hot and set them to come on at higher temp). You can also make power to match throttle (ATV) which is kept restricted in OEM setting and many more..

Welcome to the forum!
I'd get it tuned. I don't know how well the AR deals with backpressure but my exhaust, the deacceleration popping was insane and unbearable for anybody riding behind me. That and the added benefits of a much more responsive machine, disabling some more of the emissions crap, and being able to tune the throttle made it well worth the money.
The forum has its own sponsor who does mail in ECU tuning. And in most major populated areas, you likely have someone locally that tunes these bikes if you wish to get something more custom done like I did with the throttle mapping. Standard was too tame but A and B were too aggressive on the start of the throttle curve so we had to find something for me in between.

I have also got MT 10 SP 2022.
I removed the cat but the two sensors on the pipe in front of the cat is still there. I did only remove the cat and replaced it with a pipe. I still have the stock endpipe/muffler. It is a great sound now.
Some say that I sould remap it and some dont.
I would like to know herre to do it.

I went with 2WDW flash for my bike. Also depends on where you live in the world.
