I went with an Ohlins TTX - YA468 rear shock with a 105 spring for my 2021 MT-10 for my 220 pound weight. The list price is $1,469, but I paid less for mine as I bought Ohlins forks at the same time as a package deal. I could not get the stock shock to work with my weight and did not want to go with a re-spring and re-valve as I also wanted to be able to adjust the rear ride height. I raised the rear 4mm. I feel it was well worth it, but I am use to premium suspension on my other bikes. I feel that upgrading the suspension is higher on the list than increasing power on a 1000cc bike for the street.

I swapped springs for K-Tech ones on my stock units as well as fork oil (2.5wt from the stock 5wt) and that made a huge difference. I'm ~260 with gear. The stock springs are meant for 180-190lb riders IIRC. You could also look into K-tech for a shock, they have one as well as fork cartridge kits: www.ktechsuspensionusa.com/Yamaha-MT10-2019-parts.aspx

When I was having difficulty finding an Ohlins TTX I went with Penske triple-clicker. Had one on a trackbike years ago and it was excellent. I have no regrets choosing it again over an Ohlins.
