I went to a shop and got sag and suspension help since I didn’t have the tools and wanted to do it right. He said sag should be 15-30 for street use and set me up with 23mm in the front and rear. Them said the compression and rebound damping is just small adjustments and said we can set it to full stiff and full soft see what feels better… since i had 8mm of sag to begin with it felt much better on my spine. And i left with full stiff on all damping and rebound which didn’t seem like that was right. ’m 150lb with gear so I know i should be in the spring range.
But now when I go into a turn with a decent lean I feel like the front end is pretty loose and light. It almost slid out on me the second day but I was able to catch it. It felt much more stable In those turns before and I wasn’t even leaned to much but now I’m Babying ever corner since at a certain point it just feels loose.
Could that be the rebound or damping just cranked all the way in one direction he said it doesn’t matter it’s just smaller adjustments. Thanks!

Raising the forks 5mm in the clamps steepens the steering angle and places more weight on the front end. Turn-in becomes a tad sharper with better feel.

We would need to know what the setting actually are at, tire pressure can also play a major role in turn-in feel. I'm at 160lb on stock springs and my settings are: Front tire - 36psi Preload - 4 turns in Static sag - 19.2mm Sag - 41.4mm Comp - 7 turns out Reb - 3 turns out
Rear Tire - 40psi Static sag - 15mm Sag - 33.3mm High comp - 2.5 turns out Low comp - 7 turns out Reb - 4 turns out
