First, without being on a battery tender what is the longest your bike sat before started right up? Second what type of battery you have in your FZ-10/MT-10?

For me, it started right away without any issues after 20~25 Days (parked inside garage between 36-40DegC, 40-60% Humidity). Both my MT-10s are running on original OEM Yuasa YTZ10S 9.1 Ah (20Hr)/190CCA. I always keep all my bike connected to maintenance charger (after i faced serious issues with OEM battery of my R1M in 1 year out of showroom, this 1 year it was never kept on maintenance charger)

I would say about the same. Usually don't have a problem under a month on a charge.
The problem becomes more of how often does a single battery sit without being at full charge. When batteries sit, they sulfate which ultimately drops their charge. After multiple long periods of states of discharge, you eventually lose sufficient capacity in the battery for it to even hold enough voltage to start the bike.
Throughout my years of riding I've learned if I anticipate it sitting more than a month, take the battery out of the bike (to prevent discharge) and throw it on the tender so it fully charges. And then leave it out of the bike in room temperature.

this is my first season with my mt10 so ill speak from owning a fz07 over Wisconsin winters in a unheated garage.
Stock battery always started after a couple months of sitting un tended. smaller engine but never any issues.
My mt10 has a tender port and i think ill use it because batteries are expensive af and i don't wanna risk it with the bigger engine.

The battery is supposed to be new when I got the bike a couple months ago. 😡 I guess I'll need to get it tested. Does anyone have experience with a lithium ion battery?

What i heard about Li Batteries is not that positive. Unless weight reduction on track is your main moto... They are expensive, need different charger, very susceptible to temperature and cant recover if goes below threshold voltage. Atleast for me not worth. VRLA normal batteries works fine and serve purpose. yours going down in 3-4 days may be because it was discharged previously and not holding proper charge anymore.

I've been running a Lithium Ion battery for over 2 years now and never had a single issue from it.
Longest I went was about 2 months without starting her up during the cold winter.
I've never had to charge or put my battery on a tender, cranks hard every time.

That sucks if my battery isn't holding a charge.

Did you check that the key is not on the park position ? In this position some circuits are still alive and using battery. I've a Li-ion battery (skyrich paid same price as original yuasa) for 2 and half year now (and it was previously on my MT09 for 1 year) and I've no problem. It starts instantly after 6 weeks. You can compare with other bikes, the YTZ10S is also fitted on MT07 and MT09. The power needed to start is quite the same because each cylinder has the same volume. (between 235 and 280 cc)

The OEM battery is a Yuasa YTZ10S 12VDC 8.6 Ah/(10hr.). It is the same battery as was in my MT-09. The longest I have let a bike sit (without being on a trickle charger) is about 25 days. A good battery, less than a year old, should maintain a voltage of 12.8 volts for a day after riding and drop 0.05 volts each day after that. I recommend using a Battery Tender if your bike will set longer than 3 weeks. Doing so will increase the life of your battery by about 5-10%. It will also avoid the strain on you, your battery, and your electrics by having to jump-start your bike.

I figured out why my battery was getting drained. Apparently when I removed my ecu to get it flashed, there was a hardwired GPS tracker on the bike. Removed it and keep you posted.

I wish I could tell who installed it. I'm wondering if the original dealer installed it on a financed vehicle.
