hello i just bought an mt-10 2021 straight off the dealer brand new! its being assembled right now and preparing the be delivered straight to my garage by next week. I have a few questions about after market lights.
What are my options if I wanted to change the headlight assembly to something aftermarket? And is there an after market headlight that allows for both lights to be running?
Also any suggestions on a windshield for this baby?
even if there is not any headlight changes, this thing is so beautiful. all my buds are like "bro you could've just got a ducati" or something along the lines i don't care that it wont impress others (at least from what it sounds like), bike is dreamy to me, specially all black.
cannot shake how excited I am even if the insurance is going to have a field day.

I'm sure you could fit a universal type headlight, you'd need to make your own custom mount for it though. Wiring should be pretty simple - the LED units have their own drivers mounted to the back of the assembly.
As far as windshields there are plenty. There's one right from Yamaha then there's a bunch of aftermarket suppliers. I have an MRA one on mine and I love the extra protection at speed, just not a fan of how it mounts over top of the two front color plates. Makes it a PITA to clean them lol.

No. The left light is the low beam, right is high beam. You'd have to buy just the low beam side and try to retrofit it to the right side but the mounting is different and the headlight is only sold as a single (expensive) part.

Also the left and right light units are different shapes so if you were to put a low beam on the right it'd look extra funny lol

Congrats! You are indeed very excited and you should be! Don’t let the excitement get you into mods that may not be achievable or unnecessarily costly though! Run with the high beam on, be courteous and turn them off when facing/dealing with traffic at night. I get it, I myself can’t stand the one side light either.
Get the bike, ride it as it is, then decide where you’d want to spend your money. Trust me and all of the threads on this forum about mods, it won’t be on swapping the headlights.
It may even grow on you!

So I run my brights in daytime all the time. I want to be seen and it’s not too obnoxious to other drives in the daytime. During dusk and night follow normal protocol as stated by mt1021 above.
Congratulations on the new bike. You are going to have a lot of fun.
