Well after years of buying and selling parts on forums it finally happened .. a few days ago I posted on this forum that I wanted to buy a stock seat .. wouldn’t you know a friendly member messages me that his friend has a seat and will hook me up and gives me his email . Sooo I email this guy he sends me some pictures and we agree on a price . Of course he wants PayPal friends and family and of course I fall for it .. well needless to say I no sooner send it I know it was a mistake .. I look at the member who messaged me and see that he joined this forum about 10 minutes after I posted my WTB .. Long story short I’m out 100 bucks …but… I learned a valuable lesson .. never trust someone who calls himself deetoone .. Now go ahead bust my stones tell me everything I already know . I am posting this as a reminder 99% of forum members are good trustworthy guys in my experience.. but the minute you are impulsive there will always be a d-bag ready to take advantage ..

I definitely recommend using the paying for goods or service feature and then just add the fee to whatever price you agreed to, that’s what I usually do. A seller really can’t complain if you cover the fee lol.

Op please PM me the details. Probably not much I can do as far as money recovery but I'd like to look into it and at least ban the person.
Very sorry this happened. I've been a forum member here for something like 5 years now and this is the first time I'm aware of someone getting jacked so yea, it's like you said, most forum purchases go off great and without a hitch.
Thanks for posting. This is a good reminder to people to consider using PayPal goods purchase when buying higher dollar items. I also encourage members to post up on sales posts when the transactions go good. Remember everybody's post histories are accessible via their profile so you can go through their previous sales posts (if any) to see if they have positive reviews or at least don't have any negative interactions.
