Awesome! glad to hear it was resolved with the simple fuse.
I've seen a few times now where it's the ETV fuse that blows.

Awesome! glad to hear it was resolved with the simple fuse. I've seen a few times now where it's the ETV fuse that blows. Thus far, I have only changed out the Main fuse Kyle. Scheduling precluded me taking the panel off to access the other fuses. I hope it is the fuse for the throttle sensor, but whatever it is, thanks for mentioning the ETV fuse. I am going to check them all. P.S.: It's nice that Yamaha provides the spares!

YES!!!!!! It was exactly as you fellows described, Main Fuse and Throttle Sensor Fuse. THANK YOU!!!!
Yet, I was one step away from employing the use of an Oxy-acetylene torch and a Sawzall to get the side panel off! Finding that 2nd buried push pin was like trying to blindly diffuse a bomb and separating that front section from the rear section of side panel was ROUGH!!
Now for perhaps the most daunting task of all: reassembly. I can't even imagine how I am going to accomplish this seemingly simple task. God help me..................
P.S.: I will call this a success and once again thank you for your superb assistance.
P.P.S.: On a less celebratory note, the lower Quick Fastener sadly was unable to withstand the rigors of reentry, the device divesting itself of its center pin, lost forever, somewhere in the void...

UGH! Yet another hollow triumph... I checked every fuse, replaced the 2 that were fried. All functions seemingly work, bike fires right up and idles perfectly, but the CHECK ENGINE ICON is lit. Now I am really worried.

Now I am really worried. That's because the ETV threw a code from the fuse being popped. You'll need to go to a dealer to get it cleared unfortunately. If you already have an OBD2 scanner you can buy the adapter harness and do it yourself.
