Speedometer displayed 0 and the Lights came on after a brief spirited ride up to the Blueridge Parkway with tight twistiness on hwy 276 . The Engine, traction, ABS and Cruise control lights were lighted orange and flashing. I'm pretty sure those were the correct lights. I noticed them when I relaxed and starting down the other side of the mountain. I turned off the bike and coasted down hill for a while thinking I may have just pushed the bike too hard but that's over estimating my skill set. haha When I turned it back on only the engine light was lighted a solid orange. The local shop won't see if for 2 weeks. I guess the next step is buying a OBD2 adaptor and reader? Can someone recommend one? I did a search here but didn't find the answer? I did get a new rear tire but have 200+ miles of mountain road riding before this happened. Granted I was with a group of adventure riders that were just cruising. This happened the first time I began to let the FZ growl some on my way home. It appears to ride fine just with the engine light on. The only thing a bit off generally is the bike does get hot easy compared to my 1200 GS but maybe that is normal. Thanks in advance for any help.

Should be on ebay or Amazon for like $20. I haven't had the need yet but I've seen other members talk about it on here.

just ordered one. I found the problem. A wire wasn't run correctly and is rubbing against the brake rotor. Supprised it didn't fail sooner. I'm gong to the shop that installed a new rear wheel i 4 days ago.
