Anyone assume it’ll be a straight swap upgrade for older models instead of modding or buying expensive kits?

The issue is probably going to be the same with the R1 Master swap, the brake light switch and the cruise control disengage. Although the R1 Master is an easy swap, the stock switch needs to be modified for the brake light to come on right away and for the cruise control disengage to work correctly. Else, you have a delay.
I don't know if anybody knows this answer until they try it and if it will require also using the switch off the 2022 or having to modify the stock switch.
Otherwise it'll definitely work and will probably be a worthwhile upgrade over the non-radial, crappy stock master. Just might not be as straightforward as a simple swap.

You'll need a new front brake line at minimum as the banjo will be in a different position. This is why Stoltec sells their kits with a set of Spiegler lines. They also have the video on how to modify the switch to work properly. I've got my lines in already, waiting on the m/c kit from them still.
