So since I have no idea what I'm talking about here - but I'm going to refer you to RedAndBlack's post here - fz10.org/post/32495 You should check out the video in this post - fz10.org/post/32495/thread where someone else was having a similar thought. Skip to 3:09 and you can hear a pretty persistent ticking/rattling sound. All in all, based on what I have read - everything sounds totally normal!

I dunno, still sounds like the cam chain to me. The sounds being towards the front by the radiator supports that. The clutch is further back.
The camshaft runs through the middle of the bike from left to right and I could see the sound traveling along that path to the clutch side of the bike as well.

When I finish with this horror movie, I'll let you know how it turned out and if I could solve it.

Well ...in case anyone is interested or useful. Did a valve adjustment on my FZ10 due to excessive ticking. I found these measurements. Exhaust: 0.13-0.14-0.14-0.15-0.14-0.13-0.14-0.15MM Intake: 0.09-0.08-0.10-0.13-0.14-0.12-0.09-0.09MM
I was able to lower the exhaust valves by 0.05, leaving it at 0.18 or 0.19. Still out of range. BUT the noise was reduced. Therefore, I will make a new adjustment later. Any questions, pm.
