I recently bought a 17 Fz that has an m4 exhaust and a cat delete. I like the exhaust, but I’m wanting more volume. I like the Austin racing exhausts a lot but that price and wait time are both killer. Can anyone recommend an alternative for a loud/quality exhaust? I hear some say the SC Project exhaust is pretty similar to the AR exhaust?
Thanks I’m advance.

Delkevic. Not the prettiest exhaust but Take out the DB killer and it's pretty loud. Definitely needs an ECU flash to go with though. Lots of deaccel popping and LOUD.
Although I dunno how much louder they are. I haven't heard of an M4 on an FZ yet but I had one on my Kawi and it was very loud.

I have a Delkevic exhaust for almost 2 years and it looks as good as the day I installed it. I have a local shop that has about 60 different sport bikes....from street to full on race bikes. Every exhaust you can imagine is there to see and compare. Some look prettier but I don't see a huge gap in quality. Per Vcyclenut who does my flashes, bikes will actually loose performance with a cat delete and slip on exhaust if it's not flashed. Personally, I believe that any brand cat delete and slip on performance are going to be just about identical after flashing the ECU. When you talk to independent tuners, almost all will tell you that there's very little performance increase with a new exhaust. Exhaust manufacturers on the other hand tell you that there are substantial gains and or you don't need a flash with their product. I take it all with a grain of salt. Meanwhile, by buying a $400 Delkevic over a Graves allowed me to just about pay for a K-Tech rear shock.

Damn Delkevic's go for $400 now? I think I paid $250 for mine years ago.
I think our bikes see a good bump in an horsepower with a flashed ECU and slip on exhaust because of how held back they are from the factory. Might loose some low HP because of the removal of the exhaust servo, but it's no surprise to see +15 HP with just a slip on and flash only. That's definitely not the norm for Sportbikes though. I think our bikes are blessed with pretty good headers out of the factory so a 3/4 exhaust is almost as good as a full exhaust, especially when you account for pricing.

My bike is already flashed by 2wdw. I’ll be sending the ecu back to them to be re-flashed for whatever exhaust I end up going with. I’m leaning towards the sc project at the moment. I like the looks and I’m told they’re pretty loud.

Just take off the muffler and wire the exup open and Bob's your uncle.

My bike came with a delkevic on it 8in shorty cat delete . It sounded great but way to loud for my taste after riding it a few times, even the wife said it sounded good.
Correct me if I'm wrong again but they design them to work with stock mapping I can recall the diameter of the pipe smaller then stock to limit the flow to match stock ecu again they come lean from the start . The bike I almost bought had the AR cat delete and it was amazing sounding like grand prix kinda sound but I did not ride it to get the full effect of its glory. If my ears could take it with ear plugs in and if I did not listen to jams in the helmet that would be the system.

People say Competition Werkes is just as loud as Austin Racing at half the price, granted it doesn't look as good but if looks are not a problem for you I would give them a shot.
