Hi All, Finally I'm the owner of my dreambike but till thisfar i'm living in a nightmare. First of all I own a MT-10 2016 bike - EU (netherlands) And atm I'm experiencing some issues which feel/look all the same to me. I have a decat and full scorpion system, with a flashed ECU. From the dyno it has 156 bhp and 113 torque, so from what i hear en see normal. No the issue i have is jerkiness at low rpm AND between 5-6k rpm Feels a bit if 1 sparkplug skips an arc sometimes, So replaced the plugs and measured the coils - which all had the same reading. Plugs looked coffee brown and imho ok. But jerking could be a bad ground, bad-vacuum in the tank/ but not enough to cut the engine., sparkplug, coil etc. etc. So drove with the tank cap open, but nothing changed. When the bike jerks the ECO indicater flashes - for example 4th gear at 80km/h ECO is on (5-6k rpm) bike jerks, eco flashes) Yesterday I cleaned the chain and normally I have it run slowly in 1st gear to throw some access cleaner of. Soon as I engaged 1st gear with lever still in my backtire starts spinning between 12-17km/h is this normal? The bike doesnt creep forward when the backwheel is on the ground. Neutral is normal but shifting to 1st gives a clunk. Is it possible that the clutch is doing weird sh*t making the bike jerk at those RPMs? All help is very much appreciated, Tweeq

I think there was another member here not too long ago that experienced something the same. Unfortunately I cannot remember the topic. Maybe go down in the tech section and check some of the posts cause I think it was fairly recent. Maybe some ody else recalls this too?
That thing with the bogging down between 5-6k sounds so familiar.

A few things left out like did you buy the bike this way? or did you pipe and flash and now it has these symptoms?
Also running the back tire off the ground on a stand should send a fault code check engine light that can only be cleared by a code reader it happened to my fz09 . And if your light is not coming why cause it should if you have abs or at least the us bikes above 17 do.
I have never ran my bike on stand and put it in gear because of possibly sending a code. How many miles on bike? Does the clutch make alot of noise in neutral with clutch or clutch out. These bikes can break clutch plates from clutch wheelies with possible binding issues. I have not seen or read the thread Red and Black mentioned but if you find it comment on it so I can read it good luck with this issue.

Hi tnx for the replies this far. The bike was this way when I bought it. Though the person did do the decat and pipe but never flashed it. So my best guess that was the issue. The tuner never said he thought something was wrong. Only that is was a bit running lean on some points of the curve. But he changed the the fuel map. Also shut down the AIS and the probes in the exhaust. We call them lambdasondes. gave it a bit more richer mixture on the 5-6k tpm range. I only ran the bike really short in free and with traction control off. Maybe thats why didnt got a fault error. Bike has 20kms or 12k miles. Tested yesterday. If I ride between 5-6k tpm with cruise control no issues, only when I hit the button to increase the speed it bites at me. Also dropped some injectorcleaner in but still need to run it through the system so no big results on that. Next plan is to have the oil changed. Since thats also 6000km when lastly done. A feisty lady is nice, but its bit to much. Small edit:

Very nice bike and I do remember hearing about turning off the abs thank for the reminder. Ok I'm sure you have heard one of the main issues with these fly by wire bikes is the snatchyness of the throttle response even more so with the older bikes . This maybe more prominent on the yamahas it waS really bad on my fz09 as well.
And for me it got alot worse after my tune alot of people say it's so much smoother after the tune but quite the opposite happened for me. Adding so much more fuel in the mid made it even more jumpy at least for my bike.
Now it wasn't until I installed the G2 throttle tamer that it calmed down and I run in mode 3 or rain mode 99 of the time. Your bike sounded normal to me as far as the clutch and free wheel spin I'll go out today and see if it does that also .
I know in neutral on the stand the tire will move a little if I wack the the throttle. Not sure if oil choice would have something to do with that if you haven't read the thread on throttle response its a big deal with theses bikes and even more so with your year. I believe it's the cut out or on of feeling that make it so twitchy.
Some people I think ask for that to be taking out of the tune so maybe why they get smoother responses but the I think they get less engine braking witch I like so I kept it in , maybe ask your tuner to see if that's an option or not.

Does it have a quickshifter? (I had similar issues with an MT09, which was resolved by cleaning all the connections under the tank, and I suspect the qs connection was the problem).

You'll also have to get that CEL cleared after running it in gear on the rear stand.
