Article from Cycle News.Sounds like they will transition away from the 600cc class and into litre naked bikes. So, I can see Yamaha using the FZ-10 for this class, exciting times!!

Lots of "maybe" in that article,but a lot of it also makes sense. I for one would love to see that kind of class,it is true that the liter naked bike is more popular now than ever and seeing them in action would be awesome,and like 0002s says,it can only be good for us regular consumer,the development on these bikes would make them even better,it would also be great for the aftermarket performance parts world. Sponsors might not like it thought...No fairings to apply their brand logo's lol

I'd like to see them add 1K naked bikes, but not replace 600's. 600SS racing is some of the best.
