Hey everyone, this is my video and I am the owner of the bike. The bike had an Austin Racing exhaust. It had a midpipe so no cat. I installed it around 1600 miles and the engine blew at 2300 miles. No tune. This happened on Saturday night, and I had a dyno tune scheduled for Tuesday morning. The bike is under warranty. But yamaha wants to rebuild the motor and not replace it with a new motor. I have reach out to a lemon lawyer and he is going to try and have the bike bought back or replaced. Feel free to ask me any questions about it. Did you find out what actually happened?? - I went looking for a new video or something

Lemon laws differ greatly from state to state but they are generally straightforward. Unfortunately most won't declare a motor vehicle a lemon until after the dealer is given multiple (usually 3) chances to fix it. And unfortunately if it's their perogative to rebuild the motor, then you might be stuck with that. Just document everything as even when the bike eventually goes off warranty, you still have a case against them. But obviously your lawyer knows more than me about your states laws. I won a lemon law claim against GM in NJ so I went through the entire process there. I've made and updated. Check it out on my posts.

Lemon law doesn't apply in your case unfortunately. Lemon law requires usually three trips to the dealer to fix a problem that doesn't get fixed. If Yamaha is willing to rebuild it then that's what they do. I've worked in shops for 20 years and never have I had a manufacturer replace an entire engine. I've rebuilt many under warranty I've made an update thread. Check it out in my posts

If you end up with another Mt-10 hmu we can go hoon together and not blow up motors lol When I get my bike I'm down. I've also made an update thread. Check it out on my posts.

Did you find out what actually happened?? - I went looking for a new video or something I've made an update thread. Check it out ony my posts. De cat with no tune and this often happens. Not quite sure when folks are going to figure this out. Yamaha doesn't sell a "crate" engine either. Glab a service manual and roll up your sleeves, you're about to become a mechanic. Doubt it will turn out too well but oh well😅🤣😂. Don't do brain dead 💩 and generally your engine won't "blow-up".

LOL no, this isn't what happens with a decat and no tune. I ran mine plenty that way before I had my ECU done and my engine didn't blow.
