Hello,
I’ve had my bike for a few months now. It has an akra exhaust and is reflashed. I have adjusted my suspension for having passengers, and I cannot for the life of me get this bike to do power wheelies. I crack the throttle in second but it just doesn’t come up like I’ve seen it come up in videos. Could my suspension really be affecting it that much? I can clutch up just fine in 1st gear but I heard these bikes are wheelie monsters and I have a new tune so I’m not sure what’s wrong.
Any ideas are appreciated!

That’s usually more sketchy so I was hoping I could do it in 2nd, also I wanna be able to do it at speed and this bike should be capable of that

Gotcha.
There's so many factors at play here. Obviously suspension could be one, but rider weight, elevation, street grade, etc. I'm over 200 lbs and although I don't wheelie often, I can get the front suspension light in any gear pretty easily, especially going up a hill.
You can cheat is a bit by cutting the throttle or tapping the brake before trying to wheelie.

I’m really thinking it’s my suspension. I’m going to adjust that and see if it helps.

Give it more throttle, mine comes up fine in mode 2(std). Comes up easy and smooth in 1st though at a much more manageable speed.

Something ain't right I have a hard time keeping mine down .I can roll on hard in 3rd and it comes up im around 200 lbs with gear on ABS set on 2 throttle on 3 or rain also with stock cat It gets light in 4th and will wheelie if I try to from the ground over a roller if it's above 6k . If I had the suspension set up for 2 would be stiffer and come up even easier I would think.
That's probably the main thing I love it so much about it that it rides like a super moto but heavier. Make sure abs is set on 1 or 2 and not 3 at least on the newer models I forget what year yamaha changed that up. On my 20 3 abs will cut power 10 inches or less when front tire leaves the ground wich is handy when dragging someone from a light.

Elevation and preload play huge roles. Had my bike in reno at 4100’ of elevation and wouldn’t wheelie to noon above 50 mph in 2nd. Usually in Idaho at 2100’ it does this at 70 in 3rd. If its setup for two riders you likely have a lot of preload in the rear. Depending on your fork preload, you may be sitting very nose down. If you don’t want to change your suspension twist harder, or better yet (and do this in 3rd at first cause its wild) slightly accelerate, close the throttle, and as your suspension rebounds throttle to max. You should never need to pop the clutch on this bike.
