Hi hope someone can shed some light on the color codes for me as I am unable to decipher what the numbers are. My painter needs them so I can freshen up the tank and silver panel worn from my Jacket zip and the stone chipped front mudgaurd
Blue Black and silver
Here is a sticker under the seat on the lock brace
A pic of the plate on the steering stem
My dealer has given me this code but cannot explain what it all means and an email to Japan from my dealer got no where :/
BWM2
MT10sp colors

Probably the wrong forum right, considering US doesnt sell the sp model. Thanks anyways There's members here from all over the world - this forum isn't US only. This forum is also pretty dead (like most others it seems) and the SP's are a rarity among the MT's as it is. I found this from a quick google search: www.motorcyclespareparts.eu/en/yamaha-parts/color-codesBut none of the codes you have match up with anything on that chart from what I can see looking quickly. ypec-sss.yamaha-motor.co.jp/ypec/ypec/b2c/html5/app/en_GB/parts-search/index.htmlLooks like the BW81 is an internal model code. That link also only lists a 2017 MT-10 SP Going by this link (also only lists 2017): ca.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5953037/mt10-sp/cowling-1Part 19 (the lower chin wing thing under the headlight) BWM2 is the color for what I assume is gray. It also lists BMW2 for the fuel tank (https://ca.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5953026/mt10-sp/fuel-tank) but from the pics I've seen the 2017 SP had a gray tank (also a black swingarm rather than silver)

Thanks Will, even my dealer contacted Japan and they couldn't help I think that goes some ways as to show why some aftermarket parts do not quite color match correctly
Spoke to my painter this morning he has just color matched it
On another note my dealer says there is an upgrade coming for 2022 MT10 He wasn't quite sure of the exact spec but says it will be a newly built engine based on the 2021 R1 inline 4. As far as newly built I assume it means it will comply with new emmissions

Yea from the rumors I've seen there will be a new one for '22 but yes it will be Euro-5 compliant. If they bring a new MT-10 SP (or even non-SP but with the TFT display, 6-axis IMU and other goodies) to the US for '22 I'll be trading my '19 for it, depending on the styling of course. IF it looks like the '21 07 and 09 I'll keep my '19 lol

There was an article where they were testing a turbo MT-09 engine that was mounted into an MT-10 chassis. Never heard or saw anything else about it though

I'm hoping it's that also so I dont regret not getting it lol. Does make some sense though ,with Euro5 regulations and all that jazz
