Hey Willl. While I haven't ridden any of the bikes you have, everything you said makes perfect sense. The only reason it isn't a slam dunk is... I can see going to the garage and seeing that horrific front end and phony air intakes. Do you dig it so it doesn't bother you, or is the bike just so good that you got over it? I suppose I'm looking for some authentic words of encouragement to help push me over the edge. The goal is getting off the R6, which just wants to run, and riding something more sane, yet have great performance. There's something about being in the supersport riding position that tells me to go go go. I'm 58 and looking for a reminder that it's time to turn the page, slow down, and taking in the views. I figure sitting upright and getting a blast of wind would be a good reminder. But there are the wheelies on the MT-10, which would be hard to resist. Thanks guys. I appreciate your input. This clip gives you an idea of what I'm talking about. The MT-10 is far from sane my friend. I went from a '13 CBR600RR to a '17 FZ(MT)-10. I wanted something comfortable with tons of power. My dream bike was always a Tuono. I went to the dealership and checked them out, threw a leg over, etc...still felt super cramped with the high pegs and even though the Tuono has upright bars; still to aggressive of a riding position. I did a demo ride on the MT-10 back in the summer of 2018, and fell in love with the comfort of the bike, and it has tons of power where you need it when street riding. The fake intakes don't bother me at all, and the the front end is meh, but the enjoyment I get out of riding the bike washes it all away. I picked up a new '17 FZ-10 leftover at the dealer for an awesome deal, put a scorpion exhaust on it with a decat, 2WDW ECU flash, and have never looked back.

For what it's worth, the front end really grows.on you after you've ridden it for a while and understand the package they have put together. Its a modern muscle bike with so much character and usable power on tap you end up grinning constantly while hooning it around.
I came off of sportbikes myself, Kawis mainly, and it compares quite favorably performance wise up to about 130 and 35 degrees leaned over on its side. Just a very confidence inspiring bike...once you dial in the throttle. You will need to flash it to unlock the power and smooth out the snatchyness, maybe even add a throttle tamer before its really perfect though. GO RIDE ONE!!!
