I've dealt with this too. Which is why I wouldn't even bring my bike to the dealer if there was a recall and I got a free hooker. Dealerships are independenly owned. Yamaha in Japan could care less. They focus more on karate or sushi there. If Yamaha even responds they will advise you to pick a different dealer.
