2020 mt10 - Both sets of keys stolen from inside my house this winter. Dealer said mobile locksmith could re-key. Mobile locksmith(s) say dealer only. Only solution I've been recommended is trailering in and replacing the ignition. I'd hoped there was an easier solution. I've looked over the paperwork and didn't see any key number or the like, just the VIN. Thanks in advance for any help

Where are you located? Is the key chipped (Europe) or just a plain key (US)? If just plain you should have received a silver tag which has the key code for reordering, you probably didn't see it and it was stolen when both keys were swiped. I'm not sure it can be replaced without the code. Check back with the dealer or Yamaha corporate for guidance.

Have you contacted an auto locksmith for getting a new key?

Check with the selling dealer of the bike, often they will record the key code on their paperwork. Also check with the dealer or Yamaha to see if they record the key code in their build database (many car manufacturers do this) you will need to prove you are the owner to get the code (ID, title, etc).

old thread so I'm guessing you have already arrived at a solution, but I was in a similar situation. For me, the key no. is included on the Motorcycle and "Scooter Dealer Set-Up and Predelivery Checklist" in the top right corner. My dealer included this in my purchase paperwork.
Edit: I placed my order with championkeys.com on Saturday -- I had 2 cut at $35 for a total of $70. Processed next business day (Monday) with free shipping, and hey got from the bay area to VA in 2 days.
I did not want to get 1 and have it copied, as the last time I ordered a blank off Amazon it was not the correct blank type (despite being labeled as such). Dealer said it would be $100 to go through them, although they use a similar website and only pay $50.
