Picked up a used 2017 FZ10 from a dealer, so have no history of suspension mods. Went to try and adjust the front and the front sag will not change. Was set to 6.75 turns out, resulting in 19-20mm sag. Turned it all the way in, same sag. Turned all the way out (15.5 turns) and got 20-21mm. Settled on 14 turns and after a long ride it was 22mm. Everything I've read says it should be 35mm.
I'm assuming the previous owner must have gotten heavier springs, but is almost no sag change normal?
Rest of the settings were 20 clicks out for compression and 6 for rebound. Changed to 10 and 3, Combined with the softer preload made a night and day difference. But would love to further improve it.
Rear is at 19mm, didn't want to try and adjust it higher thinking it would through off the balance.

Well I am an idiot. First bike I could actually adjust the suspension and didn't measure sag correctly. Also measured preload wrong. Was at a preload of 1 in, now at a preload 6 in. This results in a correct sag of 35mm. So if anything the previous owner put softer springs in since I only weigh 160lb.

I started to ask how you measured the sag, but didn't want to insult you. Good on you for explaining. I find asking dumb questions is the best way to end up not being dumb.
