1] Get a Boosterplug, the difference is amazing to the low speed running. 2] Get it remapped. 3]Yamaha do a tourer version and the comfort seat from that is really good. 4]get some mirror stalk extenders[extend the mirrors by 40mm and cost £6 about $10]. 5] Totally agree about the useless "headlight" nothing we can do about that, except for me i go out on my other bike at night. 1st time I ever heard or seen the BoosterPlug! Wonder what would happen if this is used in conjunction with a ecu flash?

Was thinking of extenders but they all looked stupid.

Just looked into the BoosterPlug - It looks like it just replaces the stock IAT with a different one. I'd like to know more about how it actually works but they give zero info on that (at least I can't find any on their site)

The boosterplug works by fooling the ECU into thinking it's 20 degrees cooler outside so the ECU compensates and richens up the mixture in the lower revs where all the emission restrictions are, resulting in a smoother ride with no hunting or surging,so in the city it will ride much better and when the revs rise it backs itself off because the fuelling is the correct ratio in the upper revs so you have near perfect fuelling in all the rev range.I have one on my other bike a tracer 900 and it is night and day different.

Rear sets - for the money I HIGHLY recommend Driven Racing TT's - That with the flash changed the bike for me - Cheers and enjoy the machine!

I'm looking at the Gilles ones (along with their bar riser kit). I had them on my TLR and they were sexy AF but they've also changed the look of them since then, naturally.

2&4 ECU flash solves that
6. If you ever feel like upgrading, go directly to the Translogic unit, do not get the FTECU one. The install is more involved but it's equivalent to doing AIS block off plates. Do you need a tune for the Translogic unit?

you can change timings directly on the unit. Haven't touched that though, it's been amazing out of the box with the 2WDW tune.

I think for upshifting it just sends the same signals as the OEM QS to the ECU, there's no difference on that front in terms of usage/feel.
