Looking to upgrade my seat. tired of the stock one constantly wanting to push me into the tank. I like the look of all the ones I've seen so far - the Sargent, Corbin Gunfighter and the Topsellerie. Sargent: Pro - inexpensive. Cons - have to send in your factory seat. Corbin: Pro - Don't have to send your factory seat. Con - expensive. Topsellerie: Cons - expensive, requires stock seat and not in the US so they're out. I like the look and the price of the Sargent but not sure about not having a stock seat to go back to for whatever reason. They also include shipping both ways in their price. I've seen threads on here regarding the Corbin And have seen positive things. Anyone tried the Sargent yet?

I found a stock takeoff seat on Ebay that I used to send out. That way I kept the stocker just in case the new one didn't work out. Just a suggestion

That's not a bad idea. The only ones I can find are still $150 minimum though. That almost puts me up into Corbin territory.

I have a Corbin seat that I've only used 3 or 4 times, found it too hard for my liking. I ended up sending the Yamaha comfort seat to KonTour Seat and am really happy with it. I'd be willing to sell the Corbin, it has the Corbin logo stitched in red.

The stock seat is a little too hard and I know the Corbin's tend to be harder. That's what's got me worried on the Sargent as well. I was thinking the Yamaha comfort seat as well. There's also an upholstery guy up the street from me that does really good work, might just drop it off to him over the winter and have him make it how I want - a little thicker and softer and get rid of the downward slope towards the tank

I figured the Corbin might break-in over time, but since I have the KonTour modified comfort seat, I don't care put enough miles on the Corbin to see.
For me, the yamaha comfort seat itself didn't help too terribly much. Sending it to KonTour made a big difference in comfort and air flow.

Thanks for the info. KonTour is pretty pricey as well. I think I'll get a quote from my local guy first and then try to figure out what to do

Sub'd for more. 450$ Sounds harsh for a seat but I may just to extend riding time. 45min is not enough!

That's what is so tough about seats, most options are not cheap and every person is different, so it's basically a crap shoot as to what will work best for you.
I have a Corbin on my M109R and it's great, but the Corbin for the FZ-10 seems hard to me. The Yamaha comfort seat with the KonTour mods has been the best out of all the seats I have tried.
I sink in a little further than on the Corbin and the airflow is amazing. If I ride on 50 degree mornings, my butt is the only thing that is cold. If I get uncomfortable, I can just reposition and be fine, where as most seats, once you get uncomfortable, your screwed. I know it's not cheap, but I would have no worries about taking the FZ-10 on day long trips or longer now.

Hey Kratosfz10,
Do you still have that Corbin seat for sale? I have a black FZ10 and I might be interested.

Corbin was stiff for the first 20min for the first 1k break in, now it’s an easy chair 😴

If I was overpaying for an American bike made in India I mean Harley I MIGHT consider overpaying Corbin for a seat that looks like something my grandma picked out.
For what that company wants for one of their seats you could get rich investing in Bitcoin.

I just finished my first ride on the new seat concepts upgrade and love it. Seat is so much more comfortable and holds me in place better. I love the bucket style that no longer slides me into the tank. I paid a local upholstery shop $20 to secure it down and the seat looks so premium, much nicer than stock.

I love my sargent seat, $440 and an extra stock seat for shorter trips. Soft enough to already feel broken in but decent firmness to remind you you’re on a sportsbike.
