2019 Yamaha MT-10 with 15.7k miles. After seeing the footage I see why I crashed. I hit a bump on the road while cornering and veered left as a result, then over corrected right and target fixation finished me off.
I wasn't riding aggressive or ready for the turn, so I wasnt pointing my chin to the turn nor was I leaning or hanging off much at all.
But at least you guys can see how well the Bike faired. Front end is done, forks bent, tire shot, fairing stay bent and snapped, oil pan cracked and header dented in. I'll be letting insurance take care of it.

Yes I'm fine. I have a slight bruise on my left shoulder but that's it. Essentially zero damage to me, which is awesome considering I slammed into the ground at 50-60mph.

That sucks, but sounds like you made it through ok and that’s what’s most important. Good chance insurance will total it if filing a claim with them. Any scratches on the frame? Generally if there is even a scratch they will require it to be replaced which will likely total it. If they do total it, usually they will give you a buyback price also, as long as the settlement value pays off any lien balance. If you can do necessary repairs yourself, and live with minor cosmetic damage, can usually come out ahead financially this route. But that’s a personal decision on if you want that or a new bike. Would have a salvage title, but if you were going to keep it wouldn’t make that big of a difference, just harder to sell when you did want to sell. I wrecked my KTM SDGT similarly. Wasn’t going that fast, but for some reason target fixated. Which I have never done, even when learning how to ride. My brain just froze up and I kept staring at the shoulder instead of leaning and going through the corner. Went off the road at around 35 mph and bike went down in the grass/brush. Wife was with me, both had on gear. I had a bruised hip and her forearm was bruised, but nothing broken thankfully. As you can see, damage didn’t appear to be that bad. I rode it home, no right side peg or rear brake pedal, and was in limp mode (still went plenty fast, just couldn’t go over 6000 rpm) from the exhaust servo not functioning. But they still totaled it. Sum of all the parts/labor was more than they wanted to put into it. Bike was valued at $10,500 and you can see the estimate that made it a total, and that didn’t include the gas tank which was scratched a bit.

Before I started the claim I took a good look at it and quoted all absolutely needed parts with prices from Yamahapartspro. Minimum its right at or above $3k to get it fixed and operable for just parts if I went ahead and repaired it myself (Ive done these type of repairs for friends' bikes before). Wheels are slightly bent but useable and headlights would be replaced, so easy another 1300$ there.
The corner bolt on the oil pan was yanked out slighlty so Im not sure yet if there is thread damage requiring retapping and installing a helicoil.
Frame isnt touched. I have a feeling it will be totaled but then again I could just buy another used MT-10.
If its totalled and they offer buyback at reasonable price Im likely going to get it, swap my parts over to the next MT-10 I pick up and part out the rest.

Very sorry to see this. If you do part it out I'm interested in the ECU.

My ECU is flash by 2wdw. Will definitely be going into my next MT10 along with all my mods if anything. Thank you though.
If I do that Id sell the ECU of my next MT10. Thatd be in a few weeks at best though.

Update: Bike is officially totaled and insurance is keeping the bike. They wanted 4.6k for me to keep it salvage, no thanks.
They're paying full price for all my mods too, so that's neat.

Final Update: Found my bike 6 hrs away for sale by guy who bought it at auction lol. Its a money pit and salvaged title but is back on the road.
I, on the other hand, got an FZ-09 for a steal. Will miss the -10 for sure.
