I was wondering if any of you guys here lived a problem like this,
My bike (MT-10 SP 2017 9800KM) just slightly trembles when I open the throttle fully, it does not do this when I go slow on the throttle. This only happens specifically at 6500 RPM and 7500 RPM, nowhere before, after, or in between them. The bike trembles as if TCS is activated automatically for no reason, even though I have TCS mode turned off. There is no problem with the clutch, it’s working completely fine. -yamaha dealer put the cat back on, but it's not fixed. -they also put new 4x spark plug but it didnt help. -today we tried another mt10’s gas tank and it didnt help. -also dealer tried with diagnostic but no error. nothing

Jokes aside, this is super strange and I have never seen a bike do this. Do you have a. ECU tune?

You’re either losing fuel or spark my guess is spark. I’d be willing to bet you’ve got a coil that’s about to go out. I’m just about positive that’s the problem. It coooooould be a faulty grind somewhere too but that’s a much more of a long shot. The only thing you can do is replace the coils to find out. You could replace one go test ride and if it still does the same thing rout that old coil back in the position it came from and move on to the next but that will take a ton of time. If your dealer has a dyno that’ll make diagnosing it that way much easier though.
I wonder if there’s a way to log and see if you’re having negative ignition corrections on a particular cylinder at that rpm range.

Coil problems typically appear when the engine is under the most load. 6500-7500 RPM is close to peak torque, which would put the piston loading at its highest. These coils are a pretty big PITA to remove once you get to them. Just make sure to twist and pull up at the same time. If you can spare the cash, replace all 4. If not, then one at a time looks like the only way to fix it.

First of all, hope you were at least wearing a helmet . Now, you said dealer just reinstalled your stock catback, so sounds like you were running cat-less before, and without a tune, which is dangerous for the engine, since they already run borderline lean out of the box. Two things could be going on. One is that the ECU might need more time to re-adapt fueling with the stock cat-back. And the other is the extra heat cooked one of your coils, as it was already mentioned. If that is the case, I'd replace them all, and hope you don't have any cylinder scoring due to running cat-less without a tune. Good luck.

That's an old guy motorcycle insult - about the same as lightweight. I still use it cuz I'm old. It's such a good insult that it should live on.

Sorry but I just had to. Squidding around town with no gear on, making cheap half assed mods, and riding like a douche in the city is something that needs to be called out. Not good for our community, motorcycling in general, or other motorists on the road.

I'm an "old guy" (almost 43) and on behalf of us real old guys shut up. This was a question about a technical problem the dude was having with his bike. Not a thread on hooning or dragging knee on the street. So you're way off base here with your asinine unwarranted "squid" remark. Your comment makes the entire old guy community look bad. We're not all a bunch of Fudds or boomers like you aperar to be. You've NEVER ridden without full ATGAT? Riiiiiiiiiight. So in summary, shut it. If your comment isn't applicable to the topic at hand then keep it to yourself.

Regardless of the gear hauling ass through the city streets passing cars going 40+ more mph than they are is dangerous and stupid.

Hey genius. His speedo is in KPH not MPH. So at most he's doing about 60mph in that vid.
