ECO Boost

Does anyone else feel like they fight the eco boost (assume that’s what it’s called when the ECO signal comes on) from time to time when it engages. Sometimes it feels like my bike will lag (similar to flirting with the power band but more distinct) but it seems to happen when rolling the throttle a bit at lower rpms and when ECO light turns on or off.
Kinda hard to explain, but want to make sure it’s not something wrong with my bike. But I think if you have felt it, you’ll understand my description. Thanks all!!

All the ECO light does is let you know when you are riding economically, nothing to lag and there is no boost, its most likely the throttle connection that feels snatchy to you at low revs which is common on fuel injected bikes, an ECU flash will smooth that out.

Gotcha, what led me to believe it was the ECO was because it normally only happens in 5th or 6th gear. But that makes sense thanks a bunch!!

Yup, what NSR said. It is not an active system regulating fuel economy or anything like that. It is just the bikes computer computing that at your current speed and RPM level, you are riding in a more economical mode as far as gas mileage.

"Eco boos" is a Ford term for turbo lol Lol yea that’s true. But it’s the one that came to mind when trying to explain. But I was thinking that with those types of systems, they cut the use of cylinders down to create better gas mileage.
