I ordered some EBC HH pads for the bike hoping to help with initial bite. I only had 1,700 miles on the bike. I pulled the pads out of the left caliper and there were already HH pads in there. Looked like the brand was Toyo HH was clearly marked and the other numbers and letters looked like a part number possibly.
So does yes FZ/MT-10 cone factory with HH sintered metal pads from factory?

Yes but they're definitely not that good. I personally go with SBS pads but even with those crappy EBC pads, you'll see improvement.

Swapped out the pads which was way easier than I was expecting. I won’t be able to bed them in until tomorrow. I’ve used EBC HH pads on my bikes for about 20 years and never felt they lacked in bite or stopping power. What makes you say they’re crap?

I've had these in all my bikes and will be upgrading this one too once I get back home. Always had great improvement and never had issues with EBCs. Most of my bikes over time were dual duty - track and street and those pads performed excellent.

Just my experience. Even holding them vs a more premium pad you can tell the difference in materials used and craftsmanship.
My opinion of course. I probably shouldn't have went to go as far as to call them crappy. What works for me might not work for others and vice versa.

Fair enough sir. I wanted to try the brembo pads but I wasn’t able to track them down domestically. The EBC’s are a definite improvement over the stock pads for sure. I am occasionally getting some squeal out of the fronts which is a little annoying. I may pull them out and put a thin layer of brake grease on the backs of them. Now that I know how easy they are to get out I can do that in like ten minutes.

I've had EBC HH on my past 4 motorcycles. They are a huge improvement over stock. That being said, I don't track, so I imagine there are other brands that offer much better stopping power. They made a HUGE difference on my Hayabusa. That big girl had some serious stopping power after switching pads.

Same on my Blackbird I used to have. The EBC HH pads and Honda’s linked brakes made a great combo.

Same here, I was going to upgrade the entire system to the R1 master cylinder and brake lines. I was really impressed with the brake performance increase I got from just switching to the EBC HH Pads. Im happy with them. Stock pads were really disappointing. I still feel like this bike should have the R1 brake system. I came from a CBR600RR and I was expecting, wrongfully, the same level of brake performance.

I've used Brembo and EBC in my 10 and the EBC are better in my view. Better feel, less dust and ½ the price. To take it up a notch the Brembo RCS19 master cylinder is sublime. It makes the brakes how they should be from the factory for a 1000cc 160bhp 160mph bike. I've got Hel calipers and lines too and the bike stops on a sixpence but importantly the feel and control I now have is top notch. If anyone is interested in lines or calipers I can supply direct from Hel and even with the hefty shipping costs the calipers have a $150 saving and the lines a saving of $100.

Our bikes look extremely similar except I did install the LV decat and yes, it's loud as heck but not enough to remove it yet. Nice brake setup!

I took the Leo Vince off. At the time I had the AIS enabled still and it was like a shot gun going off so removed the LV. Now I've had the AIS switched off I'm looking at putting one on again 😂

They are good in every situation even wren when cold yes. They aren’t a race pad that requires a bunch of heat to work. They are harder on stock rotors but barley. When I had them on my Blackbird I put over 20,000 miles on that bike and the factory rotors were still good with almost 30,000 total miles in the rotors. Idk if the stock pads are actually HH rated. They say HH on the front stock pads and GG on the rear ones. The EBC are better in every way. Better bite more braking power and I only need two fingers to stop quick. They do produce more brake dust and I have the flou green wheels so I’m constantly cleaning with. But worth it lol. I got mine from Revzilla so I’m not sure if those are the correct pads in your links sorry.

Thanks brother. I'll probably get them from Revzilla too, but just wanted to post both with one link, and make sure the part numbers are correct (hopefully somebody else can confirm that ). Hey, did you put HHs on the rear too, or GGs, to match the stock rating? If the stock pads say 'HH', that's what they are. But surprised the rears are GGs. I hardly ever use it anyway, so it doesn't really matter, but just to have equal pads everywhere, I'd change them all. Thanks again for your detailed reply. Take care.

That’s what I did. HH front and rear. I feel like I used to lock up the rear and make the abs kick in on the rear brake a lot with the stock pads. I haven’t done it once with the HH pads on the rear. I can feel what’s going on better and it bites harder initially so it’s way less vague.
