Installed the LV decat a few days ago. It's loud but mainly in canyons and narrow streets. Cruising it's fine. I like the sound( I ride with earplugs) but I'm concerned about bothering folks around. I always ride the same area so I don't want to piss people off. I'll evaluate a few more rides before deciding if I keep it or go back to stock cat plus SP Engineering end can.

Let us know. I’m still on the fence about getting an LV mid pipe and I’m keeping the stock can either way. Main thing I’m worried about is it being obnoxiously loud. Any way you could post a vid or sound clip?

Thing is sound clips can't relay decibel readings. It's loud, at least twice as load as with cat.

I called Nate at 2wdw last night and asked him about it. He said even the LV pipe is 20db louder. That’s huge! He also said even with a decat you’re only looking at about a 7hp increase. Yeah the stock cat is heavy, about 21 pounds, so you save a good bit of weight but for that much of an increase in noise I don’t feel it’s worth it. He said the resonator affects the tone of the exhaust making it deeper and not raspy and the Yosh Alpha-T is the better sounding pipe for the money but it’s still that ear splitting 20db louder. If you’re cool with it being that loud go for it for the weight savings but you will need a tune. If you’ve already got your ecu flashed by 2wdw they’ll reflash you for a pipe for free.
Hope all that helps.
