Took the bike to the dealer for it's 4K - usually would do oil myself but had it done with this service just to get it all done in one shot. Upon arriving home and letting the bike sit for an hour, noticed level was right up over the full line. After sitting for a day, only seeing the smallest of bubbles up there in the window (what's pictured here). Took it back to the dealer, who admitted to it being about 1/10th of a quart too full - corrected and now sits nicely between the lines after resting. Put ~ 8 miles getting it to the shop and back, nothing spirited. Wondering if this should be any cause for concern? Dealer is of course telling me not, would take 1/2 quart + to do any damage. Any thoughts are much appreciated, thanks!

I 2nd what clayton said. Especially if you had a short ride home from the dealer. The bubbles could cause oil starvation but that would probably take a while as the oil heats up hotter and hotter and expands. But even still, 1 tenth of a quart shouldn't cause that.
I think you're fine. Good of you to catch it!

Yeah, 1/10th is nothing to worry about. My bike had about 1/2-qt above full. Plus seat had a rubber 'bumper' missing, and the mirrors were installed wrong. So basically, the stupid dealer tech didn't do anything right. Ha ha. At any rate, I only rode the bike home about 8 miles, and there weren't any bubbles on the oil, so even 1/2-qt apparently wasn't enough to hit the crank, but probably not much space left. Took the opportunity to replace the drain plug with a magnetic one (GoldPlug MP-02), while removing the excess oil.
As a final comment, remember to always put a magnetic level on the front left rotor when checking oil level, to make sure bike is perfectly vertical. Even a little bit of a tilt makes a big difference in oil level.

I change oil/filter myself and with the -10 I have found the best practice is to fully drain the oil and replace the filter, then put 4 qts of oil in the engine and then take it for a short 4 or 5 mile run to warm things up and to fully circulate the oil between engine and transmission, then put it on maintenance stand and let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes. The level is between the two marks so I add ~1/4 qt more oil and that brings it right up to the top line. Never had any issues doing it like that, and 4.25 qts is the specified quantity in the manual. A slight overfill isn't going to do any damage.
