Hi All, Im new to the site and newer in general to my 2019 MT-10. I recently installed my LeoVince LV-10 slip on and am getting ready to install the LeoVince mid-pipe as well as a K&N filter and power commander v. I've heard that unlike with my MT-07 that i did a full system on, this bike will have a lot of crackle and pop on deceleration once the bike has removed the cat due to the AIS system. Will the power commander with the tune from LeoVince solve this or do i need to get a set of block off plates in order to combat this. I want to have a loud bike, but id rather not scare the daylights out of the neighbors!! If i do need to get the block off plates, are there any downsides to it or any heads up/things i need to know before doing so? Happy to be part of the forums and the MT-10 community  |

Welcome to the forum!!! If you get the ECU flashed, you can have the AIS system disabled which is the main culprit of the backfiring. I'm not sure if a power commander will accomplish the same. Block of plates aren't needed with the ECU flash

RedAndBlack Thanks for the warm welcome! See i was thinking about flashing the ECU but i bought my bike brand new and was told that if i flash the ECU it would void the warranty which is why i went with a power commander. plus down the road i'd like to get a custom dyno tune to really complete the whole project. I'm interested since i did a 3/4ths system on my buddies 2018 R1 and he did an airbox too with no tune or power commander and left the AIS and hasnt had any problems with decel popping so i was really hoping i wouldnt have an issue but if its a guarantee id rather do them all at once while i have the tank off

I think you're problem is going to be that the AIS motor is connected to the ECU and will produce a CEL if you remove it. So block off plates might still require a flash.
What I'm not sure is if you can install the block off plates and reinstall the AIS over it. Or just leave the AIS motor plugged in and remove everything else. It's been two years since I removed my AIS so I'm a little hazy.
But yes, otherwise a power commander and block off plates should accomplish what you are !looking for.

Exactly what Red&Black said. Leave the AIS harness plugged in and you will not get a CEL.

I put the midpipe on yesterday and i have a little crackle on decel but otherwise I'm actually quite pleased and the bike sounds really mean! ill see how things go with the power commander first once its installed but im thinking the AIS removal and block of might not even be something i have to go through! I'm also going to make a thread for the LeoVince slip on and midpipe since i have seen too much out there on the slip on once i get a chance. Happy riding |

Not too loud? I was thinking of the LV midpipe since it's resonated with an SP Engineerinf xtreme slipon but think it might be too loud.
