Stuck between bikes, 2020 z900, 2018 z900rs cafe, and the 2019 mt-10. Is the mt-10 worth the extra 2.5k. Coming from Yamaha r6.... with the roads not being so great in the Midwest was hoping someone already went though this decision to help me make mine. Thanks in advance.

I am in the same situation, I am the owner of a STOCK 2017 kawasaki z900 for 2 years and I am interested in the 2018 MT-10 but i am trying to rationalize the upgrade for the difference in price. The z900 is a good all around motorcycle in the 115 hp range but i feel it can use another 30 HP to make me keep it. Do I modify the z900, laterally move to a mt-09 or JUST GO FOR THE MT-10. To upgrade or not to upgrade that is the question.  |

I went from a Z1000 2015 to a MT10 -17 and the difference is MASSIVE! Not looking back. Yes, the mt10 have more HP but it is better everywhere! Steering, comfort etc etc. Go for it man!  |

Big bump in the electronics for sure. I know people try to downplay it but a big decision for me to get this bike vs the FZ09 was the ABS, TCS, and Cruise Control. It's good to know if I hit a dirt patch in the canyons or if a car cuts a left in front of me, I'll have those systems backing my skills up.

RedAndBlack thats the thing the new z900 has abs, ride modes, and tc. onlything missing is quickshifter, electric steering stabilizer and cruise control. Are those things worth 2.5k more? |

Those upgrades can be had for less than $2500 but the value is in the motor and how/torque.
