Hey gang, trying to get this thread back on subject: Any word by now how many FZ/MT-10s have been imported into the US? It'd be nice to know full production, but it's unlikely anybody would know, if nobody even knows how many US bikes. Always been curious about those figures .

Unless someone from Yamaha corporate is willing to share sales figures, there won't be much of a chance of coming up with a number.

I know car/truck manufacturers publish their sales figures by model line, but I've never seen m/c figures. I suspect the federal government has these import figures because they need to have the data in case of product recalls, whether or not there are 'out there' for the public to see I don't know.

They are relatively expensive and most younger riders don't want to spend that much money on a naked sportbike. They have not been the home run that Yamaha was hoping for. I think my dealer has sold less than 10 in the 3.5 years it has been out....not exactly huge demand for them. But the whole m/c industry is pretty much in the dumps, younger potential riders aren't interested, the older ones have other choices that are more comfortable and with better range. Relatively expensive!?!?!? I paid $11699 for my new 2019. That was $3k less than an R6 and $6k less than a base R1. these bikes are an unbelievable value compared to what the “younger riders” are on Agreed! I bought my 17 FZ10 in October of that year... Paid $9,999 and it was in the crate. I don’t find that anywhere close to expensive.
