I just bought a 2018 mt 10 with 1500 miles. I test rode the bike runs fine but after I got home and rode more then 10 15 minutes and the bike is warm the clutch wont let me shift into first without instantly dying. Was wondering if it could be an adjustment. Never had a clutch work fine until warmed

You didn't mention if the bike was surging forward when it happens. If yes, it'd be clutch related. If not, then most likely side stand circuit related, but it could be many things. I personally doubt it's the switch, since it only happens when hot, but could be wrong. It could be an ECU issue either from a bad tune, to a bad aftermarket QS/auto-blip installation. Or any other aftermarket electrical/electronic installation, where that circuit was tapped. That's the risk of buying used. You failed to mention if you bought privately, or from a dealer. Hopefully the latter, so you can politely demand they fix it. If privately, talk to the previous owner and see what he says. As a side comment, remember that even if bike is still under warranty (hopefully), and you deal with a 3rd party dealer (not related to the transaction), you need to make sure the issue is a defect, or risk getting a hefty bill. Get back to us with more info, and we'd try to help you out. Good luck.
