Anyone is using a tank bag on the FZ-10? Which one? Do you have a picture with it on your bike?

I have a magnetic one which workd great on the FZ1, but doesn't work at all on the -10. Too much plastic around the tank. It seems like the best option for the -10, would be the sw-motech "quick-lock" or givi "tank-lok", both use a ring on the fuel cap that the bag connects too,and it doesn't touch the paint. I've only heard good things about these type of bags, and will probably go for one myself.

Thanks! Yeah, I tried the magnetic tank bag of a friend yesterday but it didn't fit with the plastic. I'll look into SW-Motech.

I use an Icon Primer magnetic tank bag. I have to move it further down the tank towards the seat, but it works Only crappy thing about the magnetic bags is that eventually they all scratch the paint I imagine with the quick lok ones, the bag would still rub or flap against the paint? For this reason I have had my entire tank covered in one of those automotive paint protective films, seems to work great

All the comments i read about that bag, owners always mentions that it doesn't contact the paint. It is a very smart design.

I'm running this one on my FZ: www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-xs307-tanklock-tankbagimgur.com/Gm9wuGlimgur.com/LNWqlLcPicked it up on a whim at Whitehorse Gear as I passed through Conway, NH a couple of days after getting the bike in July. It works great - zero contact with the paint whatsoever. If not for the convenience of flipping it over the instrument cluster and hanging on to the bike via the clip strap, I'd cut that off - their Tanklock system works *that well*. All you need is the bag, the Tanklock ring and the Yamaha adapter. Personally, I wouldn't go with a bigger tankbag on the FZ - this one is just right for me. Cheers.

I have the Bags-Connection (SW-Motech) Micro Bag: The scratch is not from the bag. Works great and holds my tire repair kit and a few other small items. Cheers, MrHix

I'm using a really old FOX bag....not in production anymore. It's actually new old stock if that makes sense, I've had in the garage for years. Straps only, expandable, works great.

I looked into sw-motech tank bag. Just not sure about which one I should go with. The "Daypack" seems nice but only contain from 5l to 9l. The "engage" seems to fit the tank really well, but it's only 7l. And then, there is the "City" one containing from 11l to 15l but seems big on the tank. I don't think any of these is big enough to carry things to go on a 3 days trip anyway. So what I really need is a tank bag that can contains at least a sweater or the waterproof liner of my jacket and a pair of sunglasses. Do you think the Daypack 5l to 9l could be enough? I'm pretty sure I will not go magnetic because I don't want to risk scratching my new motorcycle. One more thing, the SW-Motech bag aren't cheap.

I had the tank wrapped in that automotive paint protectant film, black, same colors as the original paint So no worries bout the bag scratching the paint Mine holds a spare visor, cleaner and rag, wallet, phone, rain jacket, etc So check out that bag on Icon site and it might give you an idea of size you are looking for.

One more thing, the SW-Motech bag aren't cheap. True, they aren't cheap, but just like you mentioned in your other HD thread, you get what you pay for, except that with sw-motech stuff you don't get screwed lol,it's truly great stuff. Do you have a passenger once i a while? Have you considered a tail-bag? I only ride solo, and since i have been using a tail-bag,i wont go back to a tank-bag.

Not sure yet. I think there is a chance my wife won't like riding with me on the fz-10 since she's not a romanian gymnast. I wish she'll be ok for small ride at least. We'll see!

I finally decided about my tank bag. I order it today. It's the SW-Motech City tank bag. I'll update this post with pictures when I'll receive it.

I've been on my first ride with it yesterday. I had a bottle of water, sunglasses, a pair of glove, wallet, keys, garage door remote. Plenty of room left in it. Easy to remove and put back for gas or to bring in with me to the restaurant. Positioning on the bike is perfect. I'm happy with it.

The "quick-lock/tank-lock" is definitely the way to go!
