Hey guys, I'm looking for a 2018 or 2019 low milage, adult-owned MT10 within 500 miles of Dallas/Fort Worth.
Must be showroom condition, low miles, no dings, scratches, nothing. Title must be clean and in your hand. I am not buying a bike with a lien, sorry. Black, gray or blue is fine.
Let me know what you have... Thanks!
Ron

What's your budget? I have a black and blue 2018 with 800 miles, title in my name, 5 year Yamaha extended warranty that started 2 months ago and no damage. Its also on the 20 year/100k mile yamalube engine warranty because I registered it when I bought it and logged the first service already. I might consider selling it for the right price and I'm also located in the DFW area.

Why so soon in selling MT10?
I'm not sure if I want to sell it yet, hence looking for the right price, but I'm on the fence because I'm having a hard time making the bike comfortable enough for my frame. I'm not tall so I always feel like I'm really hunched forward reaching for the bars and it starts getting painful and takes away from the fun on long rides. I also keep sliding forward on the seat because of how tall the tail is and me not having long enough legs to offset the geometry of the bike. If I try to sit up right on the back of the seat to get comfortable I can't reach the bars so I end up looking (and feeling) like a hunchback lol.
I basically want a tracer gt but every time I think about this it really makes me mad that Yamaha didn't make one with this engine because that would hands down be the perfect bike IMO. They even made the niken gt a cp3 instead of 4 and that would've been a great bike to put this engine in.
If I could make the MT10's seat 3 inches lower and get the bars 3-4 inches up and back I'd be fine but there's no way to do either of those.

You probably want to recoup the money for the extended warranty but that is something I would rather not pay for. I've been lucky so far. I have never gotten one and never needed it. But to answer your question, for a pristine 18 I'm probably looking to spend in the mid 9's. I do like the blue/black! Ref your later post. Have you thought about some bar risers? How tall are you? I am barely 5'8" and I seem to fit well on the bike but I have only taken one on a short test ride, maybe ten miles. It felt "ok." Where in DFW? I am west of Fort Worth in Springtown. Feel free to PM if you like.

A Tracer is taller than the MT, so even worse brother. As mentioned, look at the several alternatives to modify the bars; that should do the trick. You're not going to find a lower bike than the MT-10 except a cruiser, which would drag everywhere. If you don't ride aggressively, then you could look at lowering the bike at both ends, while getting the suspension perfect for your weight. Good luck.

I found a set of rox 2" risers I'm going to try out to see if they help. Hopefully I can make the cables work with the increased bar height; if I can get it together I'll post a writeup for it.
I've been riding road and motocross bikes way taller than I have any business riding for my whole life so I'm used to making a tall seat work. That being said the ride height isn't the problem, the handlebar-footpeg-seat geometry is the problem. The tracer feels kind of like a dirt bike because its a lot more upright with the seat being angled more flat and the bars coming further back so it feels way more natural to me in stock form. The problem is I just hate that lame triple Yamaha put in it... to me those engines either sound like sewing machines with the stock exhaust or misfiring fart canned Honda civics with aftermarket exhausts. They're also way down on power.
Also I do put the mt10 through its paces in corners so I don't want to lower it and mess up the handling and ground clearance.
