I had the dealer install the factory heated grips prior to picking up my MT10. Yesterday, fortunately while moving the bike in the garage, I heard a pop and the throttle side grip was completely loose. Looks like the plastic potion on the heater just gets glued to the plastic throttle. I was just going to glue it with some super glue, any thoughts / considerations? It would be a shame if this broke free on the road.
Thanks, David

Maybe check with dealer and see if the parts are under warranty?

Just went by Dealer. They say they use proTaper grip glue, evidently didn’t use enough. I’ll try that & use a lot.

I used grip glue 4 bikes ago and it never worked. I ended up doing friction tale with gasoline poured on it and then slipping grip on like I used to do with old motocross bikes and it worked great. Last year I did heated grips on my FJ09 so I tried hairspray as a lot of people suggest. It worked great. I just did heated grips on MT10 a few weeks ago and used hairspray again and it worked great again. Grips don't budge. I used one of the old brands I remember being around when I was a kid because I guessed that the were less new age socially responsible chemicals in it. God bless fluorocarbons.
