How many miles are on your fz10?

I ditched them for more proper grips, and couldn't be happier. The foam grips are too big for proper throttle blip while braking, even with my XL hands (or fingers, rather), plus did little to quell the vibes. The 717 grips look better than the more popular 719s, but seem to have a bit less cushioning, and should work better than the Grab-Ons IMO. I much rather have those, so will see how they work with vibrations on my next trip (next year for sure). They feel immensely better than stock, and I'm almost sure that's all I need in terms of cushioning vibes. If I need more, can always try the backordered 719s the following riding season, for less than $20. The 717s also seem more durable, by the way. The other good news is they're slightly larger than stock, which is just perfect now, since the stock ones leave quite a large gap to the barends, as you can see. These get to the large part of the barends, filling the space pefectly. The throttle I put it closer to the housing, and has no visible gap with the barend, while working perfectly. I destroyed the stock ones, to save time and aggravation, since I don't plan to ever put them back... and they're cheap, if future owner wanted to.

Finally, just got my new Road5 tires back (along with Bikemaster 90deg black valve stems), are all clean, and ready to be put on shortly. They're definitely taller, due to their more 'triangular' profile, which will undoubtedly make the bike turn in much easier. Will post initial impressions after I ride with them.
