Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm sure there are varying opinions on this but...
I have a Yoshimura 3/4 exhaust and servo buddy. Will installing it without any ECU flash or fueling changes cause problems?
I realize the fuel/air mapping will not be optimal. I plan on doing something about that eventually once I have a little more cash.
Just want to know if I do this now without a remap if that will create engine problems.
Also, I started removing the old system and got the exup cables off. Stupid me, I neglected to mark where the exup cables were connected originally. I'm hoping someone knows. I looked in the shop manual but I'm still unclear. One of the cables has a black lock nut where it attaches to the valve end. The other is not black. Which one goes where?
Thanks, Bill

I think you'll be fine as far as engine problems go but your bike may run less than optimal. The biggest problem I had between my 3/4 exhaust and flash was the deacceleration popping that was tremendously loud.
But a flash is worth it. Especially if you get the throttles remapped. The bike will run a shit ton better so I recommend it all.
Not sure about the last portion.

The other question I have is when I go to the powercomander V web sight I only see one canned map and that is for a stock map. If that's truley the case I may need to go for the flash. Are there any other canned maps they make available for our beloved MT-10?

OP, your bike stock runs borderline lean. Removing the cat has to run overly lean; the only question is by how much. It's a big risk doing that, since overly lean means hotter pistons than stock, which causes further expansion, leading to scored cylinder walls, and even seizure. Not worth it man. As a side comment, that's why the 3 reported engine failures don't scare me, since we don't know what owners did to their bikes. My advice is either do it right, or wait until you can. Good luck.
