With engine off I can hear them squeak as I turn throttle back and forth. Normal?

You bike is "ride-by-wire" and there is no physical connection between the throttle cables and the throttle valve plates. It's probably something else.

I'm guessing you're hearing the actual throttle turning in the grip since as mentioned there is not a mechanical link from the fuel injection to the throttle.

You're right, I was just so lost in my own head. It is for sure under the tank. So my guess is it's the part where the wire connects to the right of the throttle bodies. Either way I dont remember it squeaking before. Only have 3k miles on the bike. Should I pull the tank off and inspect it?

There are YouTube videos on tank removal; it's involved but as long as you take your time and develop steps it's not all that bad.

Unless you had the ignition on, the TBs wouldn't open, as mentioned. It's probably the controller, which is connected to the throttle grip. Probably just needs a little lube job. Keep us posted how the disassembly went, and what was the culprit. Good luck.
