Hello-
I was doing some research on my bike which is to be delivered within the next couple of days, and saw that the instrumentation on the MT10 is black and white, while an almost identical layout exists in full color on the R1.
I don't know how much it'd be to make this replacement (I'm sure it's a lot), but it seems like something that people in this group would have looked at.

What I would like to do it to flip the polarizing inside the clear plastic 90 degrees (or is that 180?) and invert the colors to make white numerals on a black background. I know it can't be that difficult but I don't have the guts to pull apart a perfectly functioning instrument cluster lol.

You gotta remember the bikes have two very different RPM ranges. Max HP and torque output are only a 3rd into the RPM cluster. Although a beautiful display for sure, the tach becomes pretty useless.

I wouldn't even consider it based on the fact they have different redlines, but to each his own. I find no objection with my dash, even though it's not as nice. I just wish the fuel gauge was better, and linear, not going from full to half, and with only 3 freaking bars. But at least we have something. He he.
