While I'm not yet sold on getting some risers, I want to know what my options are and I'm having a bit of trouble finding options, even the parts guy at my dealership isn't having much initial luck, but he said he'd look into it more this weekend. I am looking for risers that will raise the bars by an inch-ish and what few options I see either don't have any measurement specs or are an odd design I don't really care for at all. I'm hoping to tap into other's research and my searching of the forums hasn't given many results either. I'll list below what I've found and my thoughts, can anyone else offer some suggestions? 1. tstindustries.com/gilles-tooling-adjustable-bar-risers-yamaha-fz-10-mt-10-2016.html - I can't find any information about the total height and forward/back adjustments, It only lists the increment amount it adjusts so, in the end, I have no idea if it's shorter or taller than stock risers. I don't mind the look, but not sure I really need that level of adjustment. If this post is correct, then it's max height is same as stock. 2. roxspeedfx.com/collections/adv-dual-sport-dirt-bike-handlebar-risers/products/2-pivoting-bar-risers-for-1-1-8-handlebar-with-extended-stem?variant=1187894161 - I greatly dislike this method of piggybacking from stock riser to new riser, I think it looks sloppy and half-assed. And I think the overall height would be such that would lead me to have cable length issues. I haven't found really any other options, I did find a DIY solution that I might consider if all else fails, can't be more expensive than some of these options. Hoping someone might have some more info than I can find. Thanks!

This is what I did. Not my idea but worked excellent and cost me maybe $25. Had to remove the stud from the stock risers and pick up some bolts to replace them at the proper length. Plan on spraying them aluminum color to match but wanted to see how I like them before I added more time to the project.

Yeah, I was thinking about this being my only option since the stock risers are already so tall no aftermarket ones go farther up. I'll check with some local machine shops to see what it will cost me. I assume you only did an inch rise?

Yes, 1". Released all cable clamping to make sure moved freely before re-attaching. No issues. Any higher and I think you'll probably get some 'length issues'.

At 6-2, I was also looking to raise the bars about an inch, couldn’t find any risers so I started looking at handlebars. I found these adventure bars from pro taper and I am happy with the results. They have slightly more sweep but are very comfortable

Sorry, the pictures won’t load Would love to see them! What model are they? What color? Did the cables and brake lines work with them? Are you on the Facebook mt/fz10 page and could post pics there?

Did you make those, have them made, or buy them somewhere? I'm very interested in trying this out. Thank you!

Not yet, most shops I contact locally will only do batch orders (like very large batches) and not one off things like this. Its still on my list

I ordered a set of Rox risers from revzilla. I'll post up to let everyone know if they fit/look good or don't work at all. I did the online chat with their support before ordering and they said they could not guarantee they will fit but that I can return them if they don't so I figured I'd give it a shot. Stay tuned.

The bars aren't high enough? It's high enough for some people. And the seat is comfortable enough for some people. And the exhaust is loud enough for some people... See where I'm going with this? I've had a couple of bikes in the past that I installed risers on to give me a more upright seating position. It lets me ride much longer without my wrists starting to hurt and my back feels better when I ride in a more upright position. The bike I've been riding the most recently has risers on it I installed. Very comfortable seating position for me. As soon as I started riding the MT-10 that I just picked up the other day I found myself leaning forward more than I would like to. I'm fairly certain from my past experiences with bikes and risers that installing a set on this bike will make me enjoy the bike even more. I think that's the general idea. It's not that they aren't high enough, it's just that a higher position is more comfortable for some people.
