That's what I thought, however I am seeing some slip on that has db killer/insert on. Does that mean they are louder than the ones that does not have it? If we take the logic of compliance with noise regulation, keeping the db insert would comply and removing it would be for "closed course" use only?
I am trying to find something that look reasonably good, with a tad louder tone without taking away the cat (emission regulation). I like the look of Akra so far however, if it does not increase the loudness, I feel that the spend is not justified.

Made a video today showing the sound of the Akrapovic 3/4 Titanium System on my FZ10.
I wanted to make a clip that showed something other than the standard start and rev it that everyone posts. This is always the type of video I wanted to see when I was buying exhausts for bikes over the years.
In this clip:
1. Normal take off from a stop. 2. 2nd Gear @ 35MPH Pass 3. 3rd Gear @ 35MPH Pass 4. 6th Gear @ 60MPH Pass 5. Accelerating using the quick shifter.
