Hello, i have my fz10 2017 bought new for 4 months now i was wondering about some stuff if someone can help. -the clutch sometimes feels a bit stuck when im pulling it what could be the problem? -shifting from 2nd gear to first sometimes feel clunky and not that smooth and sometimes i have to click it a couple of times to get it into first. -the front end feels a bit light would a suspension setting make this feeling go away? any helpful videos to help me out in suspension setting. -i removed the sticker on the tank now i have a different rectangle black matte shade from the sticker than the rest of the tank is there away to fix this.
thank you

Your clutch cable is due for oiling (your brakelines are due for a complete bleed aswell).
The heavy clunk is simply the yamaha CP4 engines transmission. Nothing to worry about. It is a soulcrushing sound though i must admit

As for the light front wheel, most likely thats the suspension.
This video is a good "for dummies" video. If you want to get more into the magic of suspension setups check out Dave Moss videos on youtube. He kind of reminds me of a chiropracior but for motorcycles.

The tank, if its matte color, im sorry to tell ya that I dont know how youd get around to buff that out.
If its a clear coated surface, carefully using goo gone first (remember to not let it sit on the paint, rinse thoroughly) and after that (a day after) compound the tank and after that polish it. Finish it off with your favourite wax/sealant/coating. That might help conceal it.

My bike was a new 2017 which ive been riding for 4 months now. Should i oil the clutch and bleed the brakes? Im not asking about the clunk from neutral to first alk of the bikes i iwned did the clunk, im asking about the shift from 2nd to first which is not smooth.

Oil and grease evaporates overtime, ut doesnt matter if the part has been used or not, you still need to lube it up Couldnt say anything else about the 2-1 clunk than "thats the sound this bike does". Worse than this, have you ever misshifted to neutral and tried to get back into gear? That is truely painful to hear.

As for the brake fluid, as far as in aware the main concern why it should be bled every 2 years is to make sure there is no water in the system. Im guessing your bike has been under a roof for before the 4 months youve had it so i dont see why a bleed would be meeded in this case.

Never use chain lube on anything but your chain. When a chemical in it has evaporated, it becomes more of a wax/paste, not a lubricant. It will just gunk up any mechanical parts and make them worse lubed than they were before.
I remember some guy explaining chain lube like this: "the only place apart of my chain where i would use this nasty stuff, is as a rust preventer if i wanted to hide a bunch of AK-47s from the feds by burrying them".
A cable specific luricant, or whatever engine oil you have sitting around works.
This is the process to do it:

Remember to change out your brake lines along with your brakefluid after 2 years though, the rubber dries out overtime. Id change them out for some longer lasting (quality) steel braided lines while youre at it

If your bike is 4 months old then the clutch and brake issues you should take up with the supplying dealer before you do anything else, its a new bike you should have a warranty.
When you remove stickers some times there is a tendency for a fine film of glue to remain, if so some WD40 and gentle heat from a hair dryer whilst rubbing with a microfiber cloth will remove it.
The front end feeling light is a characteristic of the Bike, that being said if you are not of average weight then getting some one who understands how to set suspension up would be a good idea, you will find a suspension shop near you, just ask around, it usually costs around an hours labour

unfortunately we dont have an authorized yamaha dealer over here (EGYPT) so i imported the bike . so i prefer doing stuff myself , i cant find any cable life or any specific cable lube brand can i use 3M Multi Purpose Spray Lubricant? i made sure that there is no residue i think something went wrong when i removed the tank sticker , i have the raven black color fz10. we dont have over here someone specialized in suspension setting so i gotta do it myself thefinn is saying i should change the brake lines and lube the clutch cause the bike is 2 years old. so i gotta watch some videos and do it myself

Nonono, in 2 years from now (2021) you need to change the brakelines. The OEM last 4 years. The brake fluids should be changed every 2 years though, but you can skip this one as your bike has been sitting in a warehouse all this time.
As for lines, look up on google which brands are good and which can be shipped to Egypt.
Brake line bleeding is pretty much the same for all vehicles so you can send it in to any engineer and ge will surely be able to do it.
Id just use engine oil on your clutch cable. Cheap, easy, doesnt contain any detergents or penetrating abilities and is a great lubricant for exactly that type of stuff.

This would've been just about my same response. Definitely look into a suspension tuner. If you're lucky like me where you live in an area where there might be a few, only costs like $40-50.
Only other thing I would add is mess around with some of the adjustments. So mess around with the clutch cable adjustment and the adjustment for the shifter linkage. Although its not a bad idea to lube your cables on a bike that's 2 years old even though you've only owned it for 4 months, I feel the more likely problem would be the clutch and shifter are adjusted too tight or the shift linkage is adjusted improperly (this caused an issue with me on the FZ10 and had the same problem with 2nd gear shifting.
Only other thing would be to take off the clutch lever and make sure that's appropriately greased. When my track bike sat for 8 months last year, I had a similar issue with the clutch and had to take the clutch lever off and clean and regrease it.
Good luck!
